A 56-year-old man, released from a mental hospital last year, was arrested after attacking his wife with a hammer at home in Yau Tong yesterday. His wife, 57, suffered skull fractures and was in critical condition in Queen Elizabeth Hospital last night. The man allegedly attacked her with a hammer as they argued over money at their home in Yau Tong House, Yau Tong Estate at about 6.45am. A security guard called police, who found the woman unconscious in the living room. The man was sent to Castle Peak Hospital for psychiatric tests.
