Self made

Bally's Scribe made-to-order service is available at selected stores and allows customers to reinvent styles from the Bally archives, with each pair of shoes being made by hand (HK$9,490 to HK$61,990). The collection is provided using signature Scribe methods - such as multiple stitching and brogueing - together with the improved Goodyear welting technique, which guarantees durability. Materials include flexible cork and double cotton yarn, and the shoes can be hand-dyed to create specific colours and an antique look. Handwritten model and size details can be found inside every shoe, while Bally's metal crest is embedded in each sole. Call 3586 2899 to make an appointment.

This season, Ted Baker's menswear collection is inspired by nature and technology. For casual wear, expect natural colours such as rust orange, forest green and amazon blue, while the formal-wear line focuses on the digital makeover of classic pieces and the use of subtle colours such as dark damson and kestrel grey. Standouts include the Loman black wool reefer (far left; HK$3,700) from the Mainline range and the Brewery blue jacquard shirt (left; HK$2,300) from the Global collection. Ted Baker is at Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2918 9609.

Classic tailoring meets modern functionality to create relaxed but precise silhouettes, while the use of intense colours such as dark purple, greys and vibrant autumn hues creates sharp but wearable pieces. Stylish and easy- to-wear items include the Pinto structured wool blazer (above; HK$5,790) and the Marvin Braid knit cardigan (above left; HK$2,790). J Lindeberg is at The Landmark, Central, tel: 2868 1607.
