Vivian Chow still walks the walk after nearly 25 years in showbiz

'Why are we having a fashion show on an ice rink?' the emcee asked rhetorically from an elevated stage at the rink in Elements mall. 'Because we wanted to recreate the 'at-home-in-nature' feel.'

Not sure if the rest of us agreed as we stood or sat there freezing our butts off on the ice. But American boots manufacturer Aigle showcased its autumn-winter line of snow boots and jackets on Monday anyway. Actress Vivian Chow Wai-man (pictured) led a pack of models as they strutted the catwalk in jackets that, considering Hong Kong's weather, probably couldn't be worn except for a few days in February. The 42-year-old baby-faced actress said she'd been wearing Aigle's boots on her humanitarian trips recently - most notably her May trip to Vietnam in aid of orphans. It's been a busy year for Chow, who starred in the well-received same-sex romantic comedy All About Love. 'It's almost my 25th anniversary of entering show business,' she said. 'I should write down the memories.'
