Crown to recall 2,400 Toyotas over braking glitch

Anita Lam

Crown Motors says it will soon contact about 2,400 Toyota owners affected by the Japanese carmaker's recall of about 1.5 million vehicles worldwide. Toyota is recalling its Avalon, Alphard, Crown and Lexus RX300 and GS300 models manufactured between 2003 and 2006 because of a potential glitch in the braking system. It is the second time Toyota has initiated a recall in two months - in August, it recalled 1.13 million Corolla and Matrix cars for a flaw that US regulators said may cause stalling 'at any speed without warning'.
