Doubles win a Games fillip for HK

Hong Kong's Tang Peng and Jiang Tianyi received a boost ahead of the Asian Games, winning the men's doubles title at the Austrian Open on Sunday. They beat Jeong Sang-eun and Ryu Seung-min of South Korea 11-3, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9 in their first Pro Tour final since arriving in Hong Kong in 2005. Tang will now go to the World Cup in Magdeburg, Germany, where he will be joined by teammate Li Ching. In the men's singles, 13th seed Tiago Apolonia, of Portugal, pulled off a surprise, ousting defending champion Timo Boll, of Germany, 4-3.
