The charred body of a street sleeper was found after his makeshift shelter caught fire under the Wing Kei flyover in Kwai Chung at 6.45am yesterday. Police are seeking help from the Social Welfare Department to establish the identity as the man's belongings, including his document, were destroyed in the blaze. A police officer said the man was thought to be aged between 40 and 55 and about 1.6 metres tall and possibly a drug abuser as two syringes were found at the scene. Passers-by who spotted the flames called firemen.
