Mother's passion for the game becomes a real family affair
Hong Kong brings out the best in some people. They change their hair, they change what they do on weekends, they take on new friends and new pastimes.
Clearwater Bay mother-of-four Sam Harrington said: 'There's no denying it, in our five years of living here, Hong Kong has taken us in new directions as a family. I'd never been to a rugby game in my life before the Hong Kong Sevens; now we attend the tournament every year and this was our second Bledisloe Cup here.'
Rugby in Hong Kong often becomes a family affair. 'Our children have been involved in mini rugby and we've all enjoyed going along and watching them play on Sundays. Heading along to the stadium in Happy Valley for the bigger games is pure entertainment for all of us on different levels,' she said.
Many of Harrington's friends from Sydney do not waste the opportunity to get in on the party action when it is rugby season. 'My best friend, Tain Moxham, has flown in to be with us for the Bledisloe weekend, We've made the most of showing her and her husband, James McLean, around,' she said.
