I made the mistake of reading Go Ramen! Do You Mind if I Slurp? (goramen.com) when I was hungry. Bowl after bowl of ramen appeared on the computer screen. The only way I could satisfy my hunger was by making a bowl of instant ramen - which, if you select the brand carefully, can be good, although still not the same as the dishes served in a ramen shop.

To say that blogger Keizo is obsessed would be putting it mildly. After making yearly journeys to Japan to eat ramen, last year, he gave up a well-paying job in the United States and moved to Tokyo to work under a ramen master. He writes: 'This is my dream. It's my only shot at actually living it, so I can't let this opportunity pass by. I'm sure it will be hard and I know that I will struggle but the mere thought of getting to actually live in Tokyo to work and learn the art of ramen from one of the best gives me goose bumps. I'm nervous, yet more excited than I've ever been in my life!'

Of course, Keizo doesn't spend his whole life making ramen. In his spare time, he eats it, too. He blogs almost daily about ramen he's eaten. Most of the posts are about his experiences in Tokyo but on his holidays, he travels throughout Japan. He also gives a helpful glossary of the styles and toppings available.
