Asian stock markets are red hot right now, with  money flowing in from the United States and Europe. 
Low interest rates and financing costs means hedge funds and mutual funds are flush with  cash. The Australian market too is on the boil, especially resources and mining stocks.
A number of top professional and equity houses are looking to tap into Asian markets, especially Hong Kong and the mainland.
AustraliaInvest, an online investment manager, has launched an investment portal that enables strategic Asian investors to directly access Australian investment opportunities across a range of sectors.  
AustraliaInvest claims  it is the world's first online portal focused on enabling Australian publicly traded (ASX listed) companies, and large private Australian companies, to target and raise capital from strategic foreign investors.
'AustraliaInvest was established as a result of the large appetite from Australian companies for foreign  capital, and a similar strong appetite from overseas investors for investment in high growth Australian businesses  and strategic assets,' says Dean  Fraser, managing director of AustraliaInvest.
'We recognise that Australia is a highly attractive investment destination for Asian investors given its abundance of natural resources, intellectual capital, stable economic and investment environment and close proximity to Asia. 'We also recognise that, prior to the launch of AustraliaInvest, it has been very difficult for Asian investors to directly access current and attractive Australian investment or acquisition opportunities.' Fraser says  the launch of an online portal,  providing transparency for Asian investors regarding Australian investment opportunities, and  encouraging foreign investment  will  benefit Asian investors and Australian companies. 
He says: 'It will allow Asian investors to participate in the growth of some of Australia's leading companies.' 
Apart from AustraliaInvest, a number of other online portals are trying to attract Hong Kong and Asian investors to invest in Australian companies.
Fraser says  AustraliaInvest's  clients include nine ASX-listed Australian companies and eight large private Australian companies across  the mining, resources, energy, biotech, cleantech and agribusiness sectors.
 In aggregate, these  companies are seeking to raise A$450 million (HK$3.54 billion) from overseas investors. 
Generally, Australian companies seeking investment via AustraliaInvest wish to raise A$5 million or more from a single strategic investor, Fraser says.
