An activist accused of kicking a policeman's knee during a rally to mark the second anniversary of riots in Tibet was acquitted of assaulting an officer. Yuen Wai-tak testified earlier in Eastern Court that designer Derrick Benig, 21, kicked him outside the central government's liaison office on March 14. Magistrate Li Kwok-wai said the officer's testimony was inconsistent with video footage of the rally. He advised Benig to exercise his right to protest in a peaceful way.
