Diamond therapy

This cute jewellery line by French designer Audrey Savransky is positively medicinal. Packaged in padded pillboxes, with tongue-in-cheek instructions on dosage, AS29 is a mini collection of dainty jewellery in 18-carat gold and diamonds. The concept may be gimmicky but the designs are wonderful. We like the delicate bracelets in gold with white diamonds and rose gold with coloured diamonds and mother of pearl (above; HK$4,125 each). The line has been well received in Europe, where it has featured in L'Officiel and Vogue magazines, and been picked up by Harvey Nichols and Paris' Colette boutique. AS29 is available at Rue Madame, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2234 7880.

Long live McQueen

Celebrate legendary designer Alexander McQueen with Lane Crawford and On Pedder this season. Inspired by Byzantine art and Old Master paintings by the likes of Jean Fouquet and Hans Memling, the new McQueen collection features his signature skull motifs, lace and gems. Standouts are the Hell's knuckle-duster clutch (HK$18,500) and the Britannia studded-skull box clutch (both below; HK$15,500). The collection is Available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 3388.

Boots that suit

Louis Vuitton's boot collection features a wide range of styles and materials for winter. From flat boots, with an equestrian touch, to sexy heeled numbers, this collection is about looking classy as well as edgy. Calf leather is used prominently, complemented by goat leather and luscious lambskin. In heels, we're loving the Gena goat leather and patent calf open-toe bootie (HK$10,600). And for something more casual, try the Jane, a knee-high, low-heel lambskin boot with logo-embossed strap and buckle detail (both above; HK$11,100). Louis Vuitton is in The Landmark, Central, tel: 8100 1182.

Public purses

Available in a variety of colours, Tod's autumn line of wallets and small leather goods has something for everyone. Whether you prefer neon or subtle beige and browns, this versatile collection has a shade for you. Made in calf leather, the range relies on simple design and functionality. We like the long wallet in orange (far right; HK$3,300) and the shorter versions (right), which come with a coin bag (HK$3,100) or without (HK$2,700). Tod's is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2918 9688.

Etched in stones

Seaman Schepps, one of New York's most prominent jewellers, is now available in Hong Kong. The brand, which was established in 1904, is known for bold designs and its star-studded clientele includes the British royal family. Current standouts include the 1950s cuff bracelet (right; HK$228,000), with multiple gems including blue topaz and pink tourmaline, and the Four Link bracelet (below; HK$580,000), featuring exotic stones such as African ruby and yellow sapphire. Seaman Schepps is available at Wai Kee Jewellers, Prince's Building, Central, tel: 2521 0471.
