Young Aussie too hot to handle

Tye Angland continued his remarkable start to his Hong Kong career by booting Storm's Destiny to victory for trainer Derek Cruz - taking him to eight wins from 73 rides at a winning strike rate of 11 per cent. Angland has exploded out of the blocks since starting his three-month stint and, after good support from Cruz - who is also enjoying a great winning streak - is starting to pick up rides from other trainers keen to utilise the hottest youngster. 'It's been great. Sean Woods just asked me if I could ride one for him next Sunday and it's obviously a huge boost to keep the winners ticking along,' Angland said. 'It was good to get Storm's Destiny his first win, although he is best suited to the 1,800m of today's course. If he can find another similar race over 1,800m you'd have to say he's a chance, but over the 1,650m I think they might just be a bit sharp for him.'
