For the person who already has the custom-made leather brogues, a bespoke Savile Row three-piece suit or a Hermes Birkin in saltwater crocodile, is penmanship the next frontier? Montblanc has released a pen that's more showy than a commonplace blue biro and promises something that might have once seemed more at home in a James Bond movie back when Sean Connery was at the helm. The Meisterstuck range has been around since 1924, but the two pens in this set are outdone by the ink - a blend that's custom-made for each user and can be verified by Montblanc via a 24-hour service that does 'forensic' testing on the ink's unique botanical breakdown. The Personal Code Ink Edition contains a Signature pen with felt tip and gold-plated fittings, a Solitaire Barley rollerball with a diamond on the clip as well as 10 ink refills. The cost of this peace of mind: HK$123,900.
