Former legislator Mandy Tam Heung-man pleaded not guilty in Eastern Court yesterday to an election bribery charge. Tam, a tax adviser, is accused by the ICAC of offering a free seminar during the 2008 Legislative Council election campaign, inducing people to vote for her in the accounting functional constituency. Acting Principal Magistrate Amanda Woodcock adjourned the case to February 16.
