Inspectors say water supply is clean

Hong Kong's water supply is clean, the Water Supplies Department said after a delegation visited Guangdong. The Dongjiang, or East River's biochemical oxygen demand, phosphorus, manganese and nitrate levels - indicating pollution from household sewage - have been low since 2003. Last year's drought did not affect the supply, it said.
