Soundbite 'I was an energetic kid and used to run and jump all day long. I started to play handball when I was in Primary Three at Ying Wa Primary School. Mr Pong picked me to join the team and that's how I started in the sport seven years ago,' said Wang-tseuk.

'To be a successful handball player, I had to improve my bounce and the time I can stay up in the air. With this improvement, I now have a longer time to consider which angle and the power needed to throw the ball before attempting an attack.

'Time flies and now I am the captain of the Grade B team. I told myself not to be too aggressive as I need to show the direction to my teammates at certain times in a match. Sometimes other teams target me and I am shut down by their players. My coach has asked me to start a fast break when opponents approach me so as to start attacking again with the help of the team.

'I should have a chance to join the Grade A players in the All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying Handball Tournament next month. I was a reserve player the past few years and I hope I can help win the trophy back for my school. We lost to Shek Lei Catholic Secondary School in the final last year.'

From his coach 'Wang-tseuk has great potential and I think he will be the main player and leader of the team in the coming years. He is a fast learner and always uses what I have taught him in a match,' said Ying Wa College handball coach, Pong Yiu-wing.

'He plays as centre and his ability to read a match is excellent. He is also good at stopping opposing players' attacks and stealing the ball.'

Ambitions 'We lost a Grade B match against TWGHs Chang Ming Thien College last month so we may only end up with a silver medal in the 2010/11 competition,' Wang-tseuk said.

'I hope we will play better and claim the Jing Ying title. I will also fight for a chance to represent Hong Kong in the Interport Championship to be held next April.'
