Calling budding writers

The cold weather may only just be setting in, but the Young Post Winter Fiction competition is already here. We've received some excellent entries so far, but there's still time to get your stories to us. There are HK$3,000 worth of Dymocks book vouchers up for grabs, so don't delay - send us your entries today.

The theme is: I found a book. You can interpret this however you like, but don't limit your story to Christmas or winter - we will be publishing the best entries up until April.

Stories must be set in Hong Kong and between 1,800 and 2,000 words in length. E-mail your entries to yp.winter@scmp.com with 'I found a book' in the subject field. Include your name, age, school, phone number and a JPEG headshot of yourself - we want the world to know what our winner looks like.

Five finalists will get a certificate from Young Post and see their work published during the Christmas, Lunar New Year and Easter holidays.
