Black week for city

It was a dark week for Hong Kong which suffered fire and death. A fire in Fa Yuen Street early on Monday morning razed hawker stalls and forced the evacuation of hundreds of residents. Injuries were minor. Not so lucky were two men who were killed and six who are still missing after a collision between a sand barge and a container vessel on Tuesday. The barge sank off Tung Lung Island, just east of Hong Kong Island. The six barge crew members, missing and feared dead, were asleep in their bunks when the collision happened.
