There is only one Berkeley Imperial - not surprising, considering it took Backes & Strauss two and a half years to collect and match the 48 natural lime-coloured diamonds, plus six months to polish and hand-set them in the dial. These 6.89-carat rarities were then custom cut, together with a further 48 white diamonds weighing 7.17 carats, to fit the Berkeley Imperial. Counting the 10.81-carat diamonds in the 18k white-gold case, and one more tiny lime 'jewel in the crown', that's a total of 141 diamonds wrapped around your wrist. Peep through the sapphire back to see the words piece unique engraved on the decorated movement. (Price upon request: 2367 1971).
