ICAC probe urged on job fiasco

Lee Wing-tat (pictured), the deputy chairman of the Legislative Council's select committee that inquired into former housing director Leung Chin-man's post-retirement employment at New World China Land, yesterday urged the Independent Commission Against Corruption to investigate the case. Speaking three days after the committee issued a report, Lee said the law enforcement agency should investigate whether any deferred benefit had taken place in the case, and whether any government official had inappropriately used public power.
