The Labour Department is launching a programme today to help the jobless find work. The two-year Pilot Employment Navigator Programme is to provide 22,000 job-seekers with job counselling and referrals for retraining or work placements, plus a cash incentive. Those who land a full-time job paying not more than HK$6,500 a month from a list of vacancies may apply for an allowance of HK$500 upon completing the first day on the job, HK$1,500 after working for a month and HK$3,000 after three months.
