Arson suspect still in custody

Police were last night still questioning a 32-year-old man suspected of an arson attack in Mong Kok last Monday. He was arrested on Saturday night. The fire, which broke out at about 5am, destroyed more than 50 stalls at the junction of Fa Yuen Street and Prince Edward Road. Six people were injured. Police had earlier released pictures of the suspect, who was caught on surveillance cameras.

Man cites illness in suicide note

A 91-year-old man jumped to his death from an apartment block in Kornhill Garden, Chai Wan. A suicide note found in his flat said he was troubled by illness.

Woman jumps to her death

A 28-year-old woman with a history of mental illness jumped to her death from a building in Hoi Fai Road, Mong Kok.
