So the party was to celebrate fraternity, but 'frenemies' overdo the old-pals act

It was a party to celebrate fraternity. Not only because it was the launch of the second collaboration of Japanese fashion house Neighborhood and local brand Izzue, but also because its star guest list brought together old 'frenemies'.

Singer Chau Pak-ho and former Sun Boy'z member Steven Cheung Chi-hang attended Saturday's party at The Pawn in Wan Chai. The two Canto-pop idols have both been rumoured to be boyfriend of Florinda Ho Chiu-wan, daughter of casino mogul Stanley Ho Hung-sun.

There seemed to be no hard feelings between the two, but perhaps their over-enthusiastic beaming was a little bit pretentious.

Both claimed they hadn't seen Ho for a long time. They hadn't even talked to each other about the rumours.

'No, I changed my number and Pak-ho doesn't have my new number,' Cheung said. 'Of course, I'm not trying to avoid him by changing my number. That's just nonsense. I might as well move overseas if I really want to avoid him.

'You know what, maybe we can create rumours ourselves,' Cheung added. 'Maybe we can go to the beach some day and be pictured rubbing tanning oil on each other?'

Well, Miss Ho probably wouldn't like that idea, but brotherhood comes first. 'Seriously, we have many mutual female friends. What else can we do other than just laugh about it,' Cheung said.
