The number of mobile phone subscribers on the mainland reached 833.184 million as of November 30, boosted by steady growth from 2G and 3G network users. China Mobile, the world's largest wireless network operator, reported it had 579.64 million mobile phone subscribers, including 18.83 million 3G users. The mainland's No 2 wireless carrier, China Unicom (Hong Kong), had 165.52 million, including 12.77 million 3G subscribers, while China Telecom Corp had 88.02 million mobile users.
