A dead chicken found in Sha Lo Wan on Lantau Island had tested positive for the H5 virus, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said. The Department of Health is looking for people who may have been in close contact with it and has placed some people under medical care. A spokesman said there were no poultry farms within three kilometres of where the dead bird was found. The decomposed carcass was found on last Friday.
