Children play computer and video games 2.2 hours a day longer during school holidays, the Association of Private Practice Optometrists found. Primary school pupils play on average four hours of computer games a day during holidays, compared to 1.8 hours on school days, a survey of 829 parents showed. Fifty-two per cent said their children used electronic devices while being driven and two-thirds said their children played with the screen too close to their eyes.
