Runners have become used to chasing a Kenyan athlete at local road races but were surprised to be chasing 53-year-old Kemei Francis Kimeli in the Boxing Day Race at Wan Chai Gap. Kimeli blazed around the 4km loop of Mount Cameron and, despite falling and cutting his left leg on the trail section at the 2km mark, still won in 14 minutes and 54 seconds. 'I decided to make the trip as I have always wanted to visit Hong Kong,' Kimeli said. Chan Hon-man was second in 15:05. Junior Au Yeung Hok-ka won the women's race in 18:32.
