Jump on unbeatable Whyte ... but do it early

Four straight Jockey Challenge wins, a full book of eight rides and a number of winning chances make champion jockey Douglas Whyte the man to beat yet again at Happy Valley tonight.

Whyte has accelerated away from his premiership rivals, riding doubles at each of the last four meetings to shoot 13 wins clear of nearest rival Darren Beadman, and 14 clear of the suspended Brett Prebble.

That run of victories has lifted the Durban Demon to four consecutive Jockey Challenge victories and it is impossible to tip against the $2.30 favourite as he eyes his fifth straight point-score win.

Infallible Choice, Mings' Hero and Jolly Wongchoy can get the top rider off to a flying start - something he has failed to do in recent meetings - so punters wishing to get on the Whyte wagon better be quick to pounce on the pre-meeting quote.

Whyte has his work cut out on the widely drawn Asian Citrus in race four, but good chances on Supreme De Union and Lucky Bravo should keep the points flowing.

Absolute Hedge and Ho Wongchoy provide a strong finishing pair and should guarantee Whyte goes home with the most points and continue his incredible mid-season form.

Maxime Guyon has again been supported to beat his more accomplished rival but, at $3.60, the young Frenchman is no spoil at the odds and his record still shows only one winner at the Valley.
