Sunny Cheung, former country manager of Visa International for Hong Kong and Macau, will take over as chief executive of the Octopus group from David Tang, the interim chief executive. Prudence Chan Bik-wah resigned as Octopus Cards' chief executive in August last year after a scandal over its breach of privacy rules. Cheung will take up the post on January 29.
