Yip's Super Series run ends with loss to Wang

Hong Kong's Yip Pui-yin was eliminated in the US$500,000 Super Series finals after losing to Wang Shixian of China in straight sets in the women's singles semi-final in Taipei yesterday. The world number 10 found it too difficult against up-and-coming Wang, losing 21-15, 21-14. Wang will now meet Bae Youn-joo of South Korea in today's final. The Korean upset another top Chinese player, Wang Yihan, 21-18, 16-21, 21-16 in the semis. In the men's singles, world number one Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia will meet Peter Gade of Denmark in the final. Lee outclassed Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand 21-17, 21-18 in the semi-finals, while Gade narrowly defeated Chen Long of China 21-19, 21-18.
