Grease is the word - it's got groove
A group of students from Christian Alliance College in Tuen Mun had the amazing opportunity to watch the famous musical Grease when it came to Hong Kong last year.
The great thing was that these students had performed in the school's production of Grease not long before that. It really was fantastic that they could witness first-hand such a professional production. Here's hoping it inspires them to do more in English, drama and music.

Here's how some of the students felt about the experience:
I felt so lucky that I could go to Academy of Performing Arts to watch the famous musical Grease. Although it was really expensive, I thought it was unforgettable. I also felt really happy that I could meet my character, Teen Angel, after the show. She was really nice and we had a photo together. I thought the theatre was very big when we got to see it at the end of the show. I hope the English Club has more activities like this. Thank you, English Club.

After watching Grease I felt very excited. It was really good. The actors and actresses were beautiful. Their acting and singing were really good. I was interested in the show because the character of Eugene was very cute and I played this part in the school musical last year. I was able to learn so much from him.

I am really happy that I had the chance to watch this wonderful show. When I was training for our school production of Grease last year, I watched the movie many times. But the best I've ever seen must be this stage production. Also, I was so happy that I could take photos with the cast members after the show. It was an unforgettable night.

Grease is a really professional musical. I performed in our school version of this musical last year, and I think there was so much to learn from their expertise. And we were able to take photos with a few of the cast members after the show - especially the one who played Sonny who was handsome and very nice.

After watching Grease, I now understand what it means to be professional and to have such good acting in a show. I joined the school drama club last year and the musical Grease was selected as our big production. I was touched by the show - they did a great job and they have such skilful techniques. I think they must take a lot of time to practise and prastice in order to have a great show. It really broadened our horizons to learn more about the drama world.

In November 2010, a group of us from the school production of Grease went to see the professional show. I think Grease - The Musical was so wonderful! The actors and actresses were amazing and very professional. And the band that played the music for the whole show was so exciting to watch.
