Tse on song in kitchen for husband's birthday treat

So you think Kay Tse On-kay can sing? You might be surprised to learn she is also handy about the kitchen. To celebrate her singer-songwriter hubby Louis Cheung Kai-chung's birthday on Tuesday, Tse planned to prepare a heartwarming, home-cooked meal.

While Cheung took their son on a day trip to Ocean Park, Tse showed up at the Take a 'Brake' Low Carbon Action event, which advocates the use of public transport on the day of this year's Standard Chartered Marathon in hopes of clean air for the run.

'Later I'll go home and cook for the family,' Tse said. 'We don't want to eat out because Louis is a vegetarian and he doesn't have a lot of choice unless he eats at home.'

That's sweet. Tse had already bought fresh vegetables the night before to prepare for the big dinner after appearing at the event.

'Sure I can cook,' she said in answer to a reporter's query. 'My presentation is impeccable, though I'm not too sure about the flavour,' she added with a laugh.

For the year ahead, the green activist hoped she could adopt a healthier lifestyle. 'I want to exercise at least one hour every day and hopefully my husband can join me as well.'
