Regional engineering conference

Organised by the City University's department of building and construction, the 12th East Asia-Pacific Conference on Structural Engineering and Construction will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on January 26-28. It will be an opportunity for professional structural and construction engineers, and researchers to share recent progress in research and development and also the practical applications and implementation of new tools and technologies. Ethics and compliance course

The Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI) is organising an evening session on professional ethics and investment sales compliance on January 24 in Central. Designed for financial advisers, insurance brokers and agents, the course - in Cantonese - will cover professional conduct, fiduciary duties and market misconduct. Three CPD/CPT hours will be awarded. The fee is HK$330 for HKSI members and HK$420 for student members or non-members. The venue is Room 2403-08 Wing On Centre, 111 Connaught Road.
