O'Sullivan sparkles with the right move

Glittering has helped confirm trainer Paul O'Sullivan's recent run of form - surprising punters to claim the Class Five Wuhu Handicap (1,600m) at juicy odds of $780 under Derek Leung Ka-chun. The six-year-old had previously won only one Class Five race over the 1,000m - but a winning move to the mile by his astute New Zealand handler caught punters off guard and gave the kiwi his third winner from his last 13 runners. 'He's a Cape Cross gelding so I thought I'd try him up in trip and he's just been allowed to roll along in the lead and probably got his birthday today,' O'Sullivan said. 'Derek ensured he got some cheap sectionals early and he's done well to keep kicking on to the line. He gets to a position over 1,000 metres, but just can't quite quicken, so I think it is better that he races over further now and I might try him back on the all-weather track next time.'
