Stunning fusion of elements

At nightfall, the lagoon fronting Aqua City will transform into the stage for Symbio! - a theatrical extravaganza with special effects using fire and water.

The tale of the symbiotic relationship between man and nature will be projected on to the world's first 360-degree water screen measuring 10 metres in height and 15 metres in diameter. The visual aspect of Symbio! is complimented with original scores by Oscar-winning composer, sound designer and mixer Peter Lehman.

Through a combination of custom animation, pyrotechnics, flames on water, water jets and cannons, Symbio! tells the tale of two dragons, representing fire and water, locked in constant rivalry. With the help of the 'Earth Spirit', they eventually learn to collaborate to create peace. In addition to the spectacular effects, the show's underwater LED illumination, and full theatrical lighting and audio system is designed to make Symbio! an unforgettable experience.

The tale represents the dependent relationship between humans and Earth, conveying the message of preserving and protecting nature and its wildlife and ecological system.

The nightly extravaganza, produced by Utopia Entertainment of Los Angeles, will run from 7.30pm in summer and 6pm in winter.

The lagoon also features three dancing fountain and lighting effects shows throughout each day, accompanied by custom musical scores also by Lehman. The themes of the shows are: Sea Swell, Coral Chorale and FantaSea.
