Holiday spenders curse rising prices

A survey shows 42 per cent of people expect to spend more this Lunar New Year, with 54 per cent of these blaming rising prices. Only 4 per cent said they would splash out more because of the upturn and 3 per cent because their pay had been raised, according to the survey of 269 people by the Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood. It said people were not benefiting from the recovery.
