More than 2,000 elderly people suffered various forms of abuse in 2010 and sought help from Against Elderly Abuse of Hong Kong. The organsation said yesterday that it dealt with 2,185 cases of elderly abuse from January to December 2010, a 14 per cent increase on the 1,918 cases in the year before. Psychological abuse affected 425 people and physical abuse figured in 289 cases.
