Michael Chang Chun-wai continued his great record on the all-weather-track as Flashing Aura and Olivier Doleuze powered to a popular win as $1.70 favourites. Flashing Aura scurried through to lead soon after the break and punters who took the shorts were never in danger as Doleuze maintained his advantage for a ?length win over Super Boy. 'He just loves the dirt, after his very first barrier trial Jeff Lloyd hopped off him and told me it was definitely a dirt horse,' Chang said. 'Today he missed the start a little but he has very good early speed and Olivier was able to slide to the lead pretty easily. I'll try and keep running him on this surface for as long as the programme allows.'
