HK$20m burglary at watch shop

Police are investigating a HK$20 million burglary at a watch shop in Central. Thieves broke in through a hole they made from the bookshop next door. The owner of the Great China Watch Company in Connaught Road discovered the theft of luxury items and cash when he opened the shop after the three-day Lunar New Year holiday.

7 hurt as double-deckers collide

Two bus drivers and five passengers were injured in a head-on crash involving two double-deckers in Stanley. The driver of a Stanley-bound route 73 bus lost control on Stanley Gap Road near Eden View and hit another route 73 bus on the other side of the road. All the injured were taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. The road was closed and traffic diverted while the buses were removed.

Drink-drive suspect held

A 41-year-old man was arrested for drink-driving after his car rammed into roadside water-filled safety barriers on the Tolo Highway in Tai Po.
