Woman, 65, hit by truck dies

A 65-year-old mother was killed and her 30-year-old daughter injured when a truck knocked them down in Tsuen Wan yesterday. They were crossing Tsuen Wan Market Street when the accident happened at 4.55pm. The mother was unconscious when taken to Yan Chai Hospital and was later transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital where she died. The daughter was in a stable condition.

Car crashes into girl

A 13-year-old girl was in serious condition in Princess Margaret Hospital with head and hand injuries after being hit by a car while crossing Nam Cheong Street in Sham Shui Po yesterday.

Youths assault woman tenant

Police are seeking seven or eight youths suspected of banging on the door of a flat in Tai Nan Street, Sham Shui Po, setting newspapers alight outside and beating a 21-year-old woman tenant who opened the door to see what was going on.
