Slim chances

Double-breasted jackets are in this season and we adore Gucci's sleek fitted take on the trend. Bridging the middle ground between formal and casual wear is the jacket (HK$23,500) and matching trousers (both above left; HK$5,300), which are slim cut and finish just above the ankle. For something more traditional, try the chocolate brown belted trench coat (above right; HK$16,600). Gucci is in The Landmark, Central, tel: 2524 4492.

Men at work

Prada has used clean and simple cuts and wearable fabrics for its latest menswear range. Key looks include the bright red jacket (HK$10,500) worn with loose-fitting khaki bermuda shorts (both left; HK$3,350) and the multicoloured striped woollen jumper (HK$6,900) and black trousers with cargo-pocket detail (both far left; HK$3,700). Prada is in Alexandra House, Central, tel: 2522 2989.

Silk route

Ermenegildo Zegna's latest collection is quintessentially European and includes the beige Silko sports blazer (below right; HK$24,900), made from the label's own cotton silk blend, offset with leather piping and delicate buckled wrist straps. Bags are structured and made from high-quality leather. We love the white deerskin single briefcase (below; HK$11,400), with wound leather handle, and the black and brown deerskin carry-all (bottom; HK$13,950), with palladium accents. Ermenegildo Zegna is in IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2295 0828.
