Man pleads not guilty to ex-wife's murder

A man who suffered from depression for 20 years stabbed his former wife to death after she told his sister he did not want help to pay for their son's tutorials, a court heard. Lecky Lui Ping-yuen, 45, pleaded not guilty in the Court of First Instance to murdering Lau Lai-kin, 39, on the platform of a light rail station in Tuen Mun on September 22, 2009. Lau died on arrival at hospital.
