Carry on partying - why our fun-loving tycoons have got their priorities right
What is it about our playboy tycoons?
Lam Kin-ming may be the controlling shareholder of Crocodile Garments but the man clearly prefers his ladies to be out of their garments. Next Magazine this week asked Lam to rate adult television host Vienna Lin in various alluring positions.
Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Cecil Chao Sze-tsung, chairman of developer Cheuk Nang (Holdings) and the perennial hard-partying playboy, posed with various models in bikinis for rival magazine Eastweek.
Alas, such fun-loving moguls seem to be a dying breed. Born into unimaginable wealth, many of them only have a tangential interest in running the family business.
But few of their children seem to have any wish to continue the fun-loving ways of their fathers. Many, if not most, of them hold an MBA or other advanced degrees, work long hours, run the family or their own business and seem to be forever plotting to take over the world.
So, that's how you make sure your kids don't waste your billions: party hard, so they will for sure rebel against your lifestyle.
