You may have heard about the flying stars that migrate from one sector to another each year. This is one of the principal theories of the Flying Stars school of fung shui, which is popular in Hong Kong. There are nine stars that occupy each of the four cardinal sectors (north, south, east, west) and four intercardinal sectors (northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast), as well as the centre. Not all nine sectors are relevant but there are several that need to be considered.

As we are now in the 'eight' time period, which runs from 2004 to 2023 and whose star represents wealth. Last year, it was in the centre while this year, the star lies in the northwest.

The nine star represents happiness and celebrations and this year it is located in the west.

If your front door faces one of these two directions, or is located in one of these sectors, then there will be opportunities to generate wealth and celebrate.

To stimulate the eight star at home, install a water feature, such as a fountain. In an office, install a water cooler to increase human traffic in the surrounding area, which will stimulate positive yang energy.

The nine star belongs to the fire element and can be stimulated with the placement of red objects, which stimulates the yang energy.
