A former senior lecturer accused of cheating City University out of millions of dollars died at home on Thursday of a heart attack. Ng Kin-keung, 56, was being tried in the District Court on 13 counts of fraud. He allegedly cheated the university out of more than HK$1.2 million in false expenses and induced it to grant contracts worth HK$8.1 million to a company under his control. The allegations were unproven before his death.
