London police are working with Hong Kong police to target the masterminds of an international fraud gang using skimming devices attached to London tube station ticket machines to copy credit card details as passengers buy tickets. Fraudsters send the numbers abroad, including to Hong Kong, where they are used to make fake cards. A customer's credit card thought to have been skimmed in London was used successfully in a fraud case in Hong Kong. London police said there was a rise in the use of the skimming devices in recent weeks.
