The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union will appoint a new general manager next month after a worldwide search resulted in more than 100 applicants. John Jackson was formerly the general manager, but after he fulfilled a short-term contract his position was left open after he left last year. Former executive director Robert Knight was let go last September, less than a year into his job. His departure a month before the Bledisloe Cup raised speculation he had had to go due to poor ticket sales for the All Blacks-Wallabies clash. At the time, only 15,000 tickets had been sold.
