Unicorns

Some say they're just a myth,

Others say they're real.

I wish I could say the truth,

I wish I could appeal.

It was a secret I hid for a long time,

I kept on researching every night.

I was on the verge of making a discovery,

If everything I planned was right.

'Pixie dust is made from pigs.'

'The Bermuda Triangle is actually a square.'

All these shams of discoveries,

I don't really care.

I drank a magic potion

And waited for the result.

'If this fails,' I told myself,

'This is what I'd call an insult.'

My human soul was then torn.

I grew extra legs and a horn.

A legendary creature was born:

I had become a unicorn!
