Some people may think nothing of spending thousands of dollars on the latest fashions, but shop for their underwear at the bargain basement bin. However, the billion-dollar lingerie industry proves that men and women do care what's underneath.

This spring-summer, Triumph reflects fashion's hottest colours with the Open Up Sexy Cushion collection, available in coral orange, baby pink, pearl white and black. Using new 'intelligent memory foam', the range has been designed to gently cradle the breasts, eliminating unnecessary gaps and providing lift and support to the bust. Calais lace is at the heart of Chantelle's SS2011 collection, featuring black and silvery white elements enhanced with muted greys and pastel pinks, while neutral shades are subtle and yellows are soft. Earthy tones and intense coppers, along with mahogany and terracotta shades, create a graphic yet chic appeal.

The Eternelle range makes the most of this beautiful fabric with show-stopping lingerie pieces: corset, garter belt and chemise. The Calais lace used is made in France on traditional looms and exhibits ultra-feminine patterns designed for Chantelle.

Aubade's latest Abrazo Tango collection also incorporates Calais lace, and Swiss embroidery, guipure, satin and silk. No fewer than 15 different materials go into making an Aubade bra.

Men have not been forgotten this season, with stylish offerings from HOM that emphasise the male body with shiny, transparent and iridescent effects. The new trends for SS2011 include iridescent microfibre, satin-effect cotton fabric and 'velvet tapestry' print effects.

HOM Black Addict Mini boxer shorts ensure perfect support and are designed with 100 per cent cotton fabric with a special flocked velvet tapestry print effect. And HOM's Black Addict UP styles are cut to sculpt the body.
