There's nothing like being there for Fijian fans

Fiji have won the Cup here more times (11, including twice as the World Cup rather than the Hong Kong Sevens) than any other nation.

Fiji declares a national holiday for every win and everyone tunes in at home for this event with which they have a special affinity. But there's nothing like being here. Just ask 'Sevens virgins' Robert Kennedy, Anna Hedstrom and 'Uncle Bob'. The trio are part of a squad of 12 fervent Fiji fans in town for the tournament.

'I am fourth generation Fijian and proud of it,' said Kennedy. 'Rugby sevens is everything in Fiji, we live it and breathe it. We go back so many generations in Fiji, and no doubt all of them love rugby.'The group were togged out in tropical style with floral patterns, the feather boa being a special Sevens touch. 'We're also waving a banner for charity, fijikids.org.' Hedstrom said.
